After speaking with the every-so-kind GM Thessaly(no sarcasm). It seemed the problem was on my end. I forgot my in-game password to start with, and changed the password via account management tools. However, I did not give the system enough time to put the new password into effect, and kept changing passwords and trying to make them work because I was in a rush.

In other words, if you change you password, just give it a few min(took about 20 min).
